journey

Amazing ay?

Destiny is actually a journey and not a place you’ll reach here.  (heaven’s the destiny)
It’s not when you’re “successful” in life and you have everything you’ve ever dream of.

If it’s so, I guess we can regard every rich man as destiny fulfilled people.

When we journey through our life in search of what fulfill our heart desires best, we often ask for God’s will to be done.

“God, I like that girl. Should we be together? God, tell me.”
“God why aren’t we going well? I told you I like her.”
“Alrights.. God, I know you love me, let your will be done in my life.”
“God, what’s your will in my life? Tell me. I want to please you.”

I think many of us make those statements ay. Well, at least one.

From what I’ve heard, gathered and learn,

Being a Christian, is not being in struggle to find your destiny and God’s calling in your life.

Don’t you think it’s ridiculous that we are struggling when we’re suppose to feel awesome and purposeful? -
It’s like you’re seeking God with all your heart, God has revealed a little part of your calling and then He hide it away and everything seems impossible.

“Let me show you a bit of my will in your life. bluekkkk that’s it. Not gonna show you anymore. Gonna hide it real deep”
Well honestly, do you think our God’s like that? Playing and messing with our lives.

Of course not.

Why we felt that way is because we literally pick up a portion of what we think is God’s will and run to Him.
We try so hard to be within God’s will and it’s almost like a religion.
“Something that God has already laid down for me, I just have to follow.” Now wait, that doesn’t sound like free will.

First we must understand what desires we have.
Do you know what you like best in your life? what things can bring the most fulfillment in your life?
Yah, spend years thinking about it, asking yourself everyday.
Why bother figuring it out when you can ask the person who knows best.

God knows you before you’re even a sperm, and after you’re put into fancy wooden boxes.
He knows your desires  and He knows what will make you feel the most fulfilling and has already placed that in your heart before you’re a fetus.

In Psalms 37:3-4 it says,
“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

It’s not about my desires, it’s about Him. My understanding of my desires won’t bring me far because it has been altered to meet what I want. He knows what will bring you to contentment, but you have to seek His desires first, above everything. It’s not about how much I love God, but how much He loves me.

And because He loves me, I Choose to love what he desires. Again, it’s about the choice you make.
When He ask us to follow Him, He didn’t buy you chocolates and cheat you into following Him, all He did was letting you know how much He love you and ask you whether you want to follow Him.  When we actually make that choice, we’re actually submitting into God’s purpose for us.

And the foundation of that is Trusting the Lord.

And it’s important to understand that He only reveal certain things in our lives.
“God, why didn’t you tell me what I should do.”
Hey, if He revealed everything so often, He’s like telling you what’s going to happen to your life.
And once you know about it, won’t you live according to it? When you live by it, the whole concept of free will is gone.
He chooses to reveal certain things that will activate our faith and pursue our destiny.

God’s like our parent, He knows what to tell you and what not to. remember that.

God’s will is not something structured.
It’s not an algorithm which was written and carried out like a program.
Christians are not called to find out the algorithm and oblige to it.
But instead, God’s Will will come to you, and you don’t have to find it.

Take a look at the life of Joseph.
His life from the servant of the house, cup bearer, being in prison, so many things which happened, but it’s actually within the will of God.  He is always within God’s calling even though he’s going through different things in life. One thing interesting here is, He never seek God’s will but God’s will found him. He never said that he can interpret dreams, but instead he said, isn’t interpretation of dreams are from God? He never hold on to one thing and determined it was the will of God. Instead he was always so passionate about serving God, really really trusts the Lord.

If you’re in that season of life when you just don’t know what to do, do what you do best, continue to be passionate about God, continue to seek after him, and trust Him with all your heart.

When your trust surpasses your own understanding, it’s not about which way and how, but anyway and anyhow.
