triangle

Ever asked the question,
“How do I actually divide my time and effort between serving God and pleasing my other half?”
“Cause you see, if I serve the Lord with all my heart, I won’t have time for him/her. Vice versa.”

Time management?
Good try, but it’s still difficult.

Divide 90% of my heart to God 10% to wife. erm. 80% to God 20% to wife.
No I should seek first the kingdom of God, so 100% to God, and 0% to wife???

This is ridiculous.

Well, here’s a simple analogy.

Imagine a Triangle.

Triangle 01

When one person tries to pull together serving God and loving his wife, he struggles, you see.
One hand wants to serve God passionately, the other wants to love his wife.
He tries to pull everything to him, while his wife tries to pull him to herself.
The truth is, they’ll never reach any closer to each other no matter how hard they try.

But what if, what if your other half is as passionate to God as you do?

Triangle 02

When your other half pulls Christ together with you, the result is your triangle becomes smaller, everything becomes closer.
And when the triangle becomes smaller, not only you’re closer to your wife, but you’re closer to God as well, and so does she!
Both of you are closer to each other, and both of you are closee to God.

It’s that simple.

=)

(This analogy was given by Ps. Tim. )
